IN-PERSON TOURS
We are often asked if we still do in-person tours. We are not a “tour company” with set days and times when we do the tours. There are only 2 guides, and we do our best to accommodate requests for tours alongside our ministry commitments.
The only tour we offer in-person is “Oxford University and Its Bible Champions.” As this is a walking tour around the city centre it is very much weather dependent, and usually only available in the Spring and Summer months. The in-person tour covers less information than the Zoom tour due to the time taken to walk the tour route. If you wish to request an in-person tour, please complete and submit the online booking form for “In-person Tours,” and we will contact you to arrange a mutually convenient date and time to do it for you. When completing the form please use the ‘additional information’ field to give us some information about you and your party – where you come from, the makeup of your party (eg number of children and their ages, number of interested persons/Bible students etc), a mobile contact, and any other information, or message you wish to send us. Please note that the tour is not suitable for people with mobility problems. On receipt of your request, we will contact you to firm up arrangements. Please be sure to check your Junk mail if you don’t appear to have received a reply.
However, if you want the full tour information, or if you are visiting in the Winter months (especially November – April), we recommend that you do the Zoom tour before your intended visit to Oxford.
Alternatively, you can download an abbreviated, self-guided version of the tour (with map of route) from the “Downloads” page of this website and use that to take yourself around. Please be aware that these tour notes are the property of Oxford Bible Tours and should not be copied or distributed to third parties in any format.
